About

I should really call this The Caffeinated Priest 2.0. Or perhaps the blog formerly known as Fiercely Winsome–to my mom and the three people that read its 6 posts. Those would be more accurate. But what’s the fun in that? So here we are (again). The Caffeinated Priest–where coffee is like a sacrament, that outward and visible sign of God’s grace.

I’ve heard for sometime now that blogs are cliche and a thing of the past. And maybe they are. I know I’m undisciplined in many things, writing being one of them. Yet I long to write. I want to find the elusive words that whisper just out of reach. Words about things that have to do with God and her workings in the world, about things that have nothing to do with God, about life and Southern summer vegetables and good, hot coffee. Maybe a few words, here and there,  about people too.

I don’t know what comes next. I just know I need a place for words. So for now, it’s here. Just in time too. One adventure has come to an end. A new one begins. I hope you’ll come along for the ride.

  1. Hi, Sarah. I want to tell you that your homily at your dad’s memorial was wonderful. Kind, mature, open-hearted. I didn’t know David well but enjoyed his company very much. I will miss him.

I think you and I met at a joint birthday party for your dad and Sarah Gordon held at Sarah and Betty’s house. I hope our paths will cross again.

Peace and comfort to you. I will hold you and Mandy and Nancy and all your families in the Light.
